Just for �fun�, I swapped both O2 sensors(which had normal appearance) to the opposite cat, and vice versatility, and after 200 miles, got the same code, on the same (second bank) side.

2002 C4S with 90K miles. No performance problems, no idle issues, no excessive oil consumption, normal fuel consumption. code is �catalytic converter below threshold second bank�. NO other codes. Just for �fun�, I swapped both O2 sensors(which had normal appearance) to the opposite cat, and vice versatility, and after 200 miles, got the same code, on the same (second bank) side. Fab speed X cat system with 30K miles. Plugs last changed 30K miles ago. Is it safe to assume the cat is bad? Suggestions?

I heard tell those after market cats need ideal condition s to perform well. You might get more milage out of them with a new set of plugs. You could also dump bottle of Techron in the tank.
