Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

When I got mine I waxed it so much that water started to bead and run off an inch before it touched the paint.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

21 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just bought my 996 from someone up in VA from a classified here on Rennlist and am enjoying it very much. While polishing the plastics today I got inspired to take this shot! Ralph

POST 3Original post

Glad the seller was honest. Enjoy! I think mine was stock for a good week.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks D and P. It's my first and I'm very excited. I've driven and cared for my 944 going on 30 years now so the jump to this crazy car is proving to be LOTS of fun! Ralph

POST 11Original post

Nice car! Nice shot! When I got mine I waxed it so much that water started to bead and run off an inch before it touched the paint.

POST 12Original post

Nice Porsche and great blue sky pic, welcome Ralph, looks like a nice find.

POST 14Original post

Welcome Ralph and congratulations It looks like a beauty! How are you enjoying ownership so far?

POST 15Original post

Great shot ... makes me want to go detail mine! Did you get it from T.Roy? You said up in VA ... are you in NC?

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys and yes I'm loving it; so much that I'm seriously thinking of selling my 84 944 that I've had since new. I'm down in Tampa BTW; we drove up to see the car in VA, bought it on the spot, turned around and drove it home with my girlfriend faithfully following all the way. Crazy 3 days!

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No, the seller did an excellent job of listing the car and had all the docs to support every maintenance item. Besides how well the car looked what really swayed us was the fact that ALL the RIGHT maintenance items were completed recently. IMS (LN), Tires, Brakes, Rotors, Pads, RMS, Clutch etc etc...

POST 20Original post

sounds good, service history very important, now put some mileage on and enjoy!!

POST 21 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Randy, I'm probably going to refinish the rims fairly soon, did you do yours? I'm new to 996 so don't know all the available options yet. As a matter of fact I'm searching for a nice 04 Sales Brochure on EBay but have come up with lots of different ones...at this point too many to choose from... Ralph
