I installed the Rennline mount on the front of mine and it was a breeze, a cleaner look in my opinion, but the look may not suit everyone's tastes.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Generation: 20261027T011819Z · outcome-qualification-6. Deterministic extraction; no AI model inference. How we use sources

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I managed to get a $10 fix it ticket here in SF today for not having a front plate which got me thinking. Would it be possible to use magnets to hold on the front plate... A google search turned up a guy that has done it for a Tesla. http://teslatap.com/modifications/ma...license-plate/ Anyone try something like this?

POST 2Original post

I installed the Rennline mount on the front of mine and it was a breeze, a cleaner look in my opinion, but the look may not suit everyone's tastes. I filled the two holes left from the original plate frame with color matched bumper caps.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The Rennline solution good but I want the ability to just grab the plate and throw it in the frunk. I only really need the plate on when the car is parked on the street. Not too psyched about the look of the side mount. I bought these: Amazon.com: CMS Magnetics N42 Neodymium Magnet Dia 7/8" X 1/4" /w #8 Countersunk Hole 4-Count: Home Improvement Amazon.com: CMS Magnetics N42 Neodymium Magnet Dia 7/8" X 1/4" /w #8 Countersunk Hole 4-Count: Home Improvement and will give it a try.
