Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Some guys run 997 AWD sizes which are 235/40-19 and 305/30-19 or 225/40-19 and 295/30-19.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Tried searching for threads but couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for. Driving an '03 4S and considering moving from an 18" wheel to a 19" but not sure of the ramifications. Most importantly, will there be a noticeable difference in the ride?
Recently refreshed the front end suspension and driving comfort has never been better in my ownership. Will going 19" compromise the quality of the ride plus any other differences I should be aware of going forward?
Thanks!
Let me know if you decide to switch, I run 18" on my 03 4s and 19" on my 09 4s. I have a second set of 19" 997 rims I might be willing to sell. I'm close to you
Stick with 18" IMHO. The combination of 19" wheels and lower profile tires necessary to make it all fit will make for a harsh ride, or so I've heard. Bigger is not always better.
I have a few sets I was going to put up for sale after I cleaned them up
Middle is 19 on my car the others are 18 I have of lobster forks in 18 as well cheap all have usable tires make me best offer Mike
The downside of 19's is that the tire choices are really limited. I have a set of 19's that I use occasionally and they need new tires. For a C4S the tire sizes need to be 235/40-19 Front and 315/25-19 Rear. The 315's are really hard to find.
Some guys run 997 AWD sizes which are 235/40-19 and 305/30-19 or 225/40-19 and 295/30-19. These are out of spec for the 996 AWD front diff (the 997 has a different front diff ratio). I can't say if it makes any difference.
We just put these on my friends TT. 19 inch LMs. 8.5 fronts and 12 inch rears.
I also have 19s on my C2. Its on B6s and H&Rs. I like how it rides. Its definitely firmer than what I remember from the 18s, but nothing crazy. Overall Ive been happy with them. Running 235/35 19 and 295/30 19.
I have to echo what RngTrtl said.
I bought my '02 C2 with 19's mounted on the car and it came with the stock 18's as part of the deal. I never liked the way it felt with the 19's. Had it aligned, and looked at by my indy mechanic. We put the stock wheels back on with old Sumitomos and it made a world of difference. I love it now.
Just my $0.02
On lowered car with better springs the 19s look amazing edgy stance but it really depends on use if I tracked this car I would go 18s but my car rides perfectly even in nyc roads which are crap anyway on my 19 HRE
Mike
18s feel great ! 19's car feel weird but looks great! It could be a combination of things but found that 18s are just perfect.
If you hard park and drive very little - then 19s maybe the ticket.
