Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quick question for everyone... I recently acquired a new to me 15k mile '02 X50 and one of the only imperfections it has is a small gouge on the rear window frame and seal. Not sure how it happened (maybe the rear wiper) and it's very minor, but I would like to replace both of them if it can be done without removing the rear window. That being said, I have searched everywhere (here, 6speed, etc) and can't seem to find a conclusive answer of if this is possible. Can anyone help me confirm if this is can be done without pulling the glass? Here are the parts I'm referring to replacing: https://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog...d-moulding.htm Thanks in advance for the help

Bump. Any chance anyone can definitively confirm this one way or the other? Some threads have said both the seal and trim can be replaced while the window is in, but others have said the glass needs to come out to replace either/both. It is so minor that I probably won't do it if the window has to come out, but if it's an easy fix then I have no problem spending a couple hundred bucks on parts to make it perfect.
