Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So I am the 3rd owner of my C4S Cab. The build sheet always showed the option of a white/yellow/red instrument cluster so the fact that mine are red didn't seem odd to me. But lately I have noticed that the red is slipping and the gauges are showing white underneath. It's hard to see in this image but the digits are blurry and on the bottom you can see the white edging. Anyway, I believe it is vinyl because it has a sheen to it. I want to remove the overlays and get it back to the original white which is under it. Has anyone ever seen this? Are the overlays glued on? Can they just be removed? My local independent never saw this and cannot help me. if anyone has any experience with this and can help, please do. Thanks, Ted

POST 2Original post

They are typically adhesive backed vinyl so they stick on like a sticker. You'll need to pull the cluster then separate the gages, remove the indicator needles, and then remove the stickers. Not sure how cumbersome it is to remove the stickers, may depend how long they've been on the car for. https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...or-change.html

The previous owner lived in Columbia, SC. So they would have been installed between 2008-2017. I need to find someone to get the cluster back to stock. Thanks.
