Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

I would start with cleaning 02 plugs with electrical cleaner , then if that fails, move towards replacement of all 4 sensors.

I assume the next step is to replace the O2 sensors, but I'm not sure which ones - I am unsure how behind/ahead of cat translate to pre/post cat.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My 2001 C4 (with 56,000 miles) recently gave me the following codes: P1118: Porsche fault code 4 - Heating power O2S behind cat. c. bank 2 P0159: Porsche fault code 23 - Sensor ageing behind cat. conv. cylinder (4-6) P1128: Porsche fault code 360 - Oxygen sensing adaption idle range bank 1 P1130: Porsche fault code 361: - Oxygen sensing adaption idle range bank 1 P01202: Porsche fault code 115 - Mass air flow sensor below limit value This is the third time I'd had a MAF code and I had been cleaning it to resolve them, but I decided to replace this time with a new Bremi MAF sensor from PelicanParts. The other codes were new and I was unsure if they were related to the MAF issue. I replaced the MAF sensor, cleared the codes, and am now getting: P0420: Porsche fault code 40 - exceeds limit value P1118: Porsche fault code 4 - Heating power O2S behind cat. c. bank 2 P0154: Porsche fault code 18 - O2 sensor ahead of cat. conv. Cylinder (4-6) P1671: Porsche fault code 407 - Control unit faulty signal implausible P1128: Porsche fault code 360 - Oxygen sensing adaption idle range bank 1 P1130: Porsche fault code 361 - Oxygen sensing adaption idle range bank 1 I assume the next step is to replace the O2 sensors, but I'm not sure which ones - I am unsure how behind/ahead of cat translate to pre/post cat. Could someone please illuminate me here? Anything else here I am missing or should look at? I have to take a ~500 mile road trip this weekend; would it be OK to drive the car like this? I assume it'd be inefficient, but I don't know if driving on an uneven mix like this is harmful to the engine. Many thanks!

POST 2Original post

I would start with cleaning 02 plugs with electrical cleaner , then if that fails, move towards replacement of all 4 sensors. Driver's side is bank 1 and passenger is bank 2 They can be had for $250 or so (find a Rockauto coupon for a lower price - buy a Bosch or Denso or NTK units only) https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...2)+sensor,5132 Yes, you can drive it but it may cause some drivability issues as it will run rich and in a safe mode so diminished performance and poor mileage.
