Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Car also seems to run smoother with new injectors and coil packs/plugs but maybe that's 100% psychological

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just picked up my 03 4s after 3 weeks in the shop having preventative maintenance and other things done (injectors/coil packs/plugs/UAOS/GT3 shifter). Also decided to replace the lower passenger side body trim and the front lip trim. I supplied all the parts. Picked it up and something looked different. Before After Guess I ordered the wrong part but Im having the hardest time finding my receipt. Actually like the new look. Anyone know what model this should be on? 996 turbo?? Thanks

POST 3Original post

Similar view from my 03 Turbo. I may have interest in yours if you cant find the receipt.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Found the receipt. User error! Keeping it since sure indy tossed the original part. It was surprisingly inexpensive.

I've heard "rumors" about your driving style and the lip will be a good thing because it might keep the front more planted.

Those rumors are absolutely true!! Got to test out the GT3 shifter just now, boy is it smooth. I'm gonna enjoy ripping through the gears even more now!

I'd keep it... it's looks better the standard OEM C4S version. Not sure if it adds anymore downforce, but vetty vetty cooool!

POST 8Original post

Agreed, think it looks much better than the first picture, keep it!

POST 9Original post

What does the whole thing look like on the car? Looks good from the small snippet there.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'll take a photo later and post it. I like the look vs the original piece, gives the car a slightly more modern look. As an aside the 997 GT3 shifter is such a pleasure compared to stock. Car also seems to run smoother with new injectors and coil packs/plugs but maybe that's 100% psychological

The butt-dyno never lies! Did the mech. say anything about any cracked coils? New injectors could definitely help performance.

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

He didn't mention any issues with the old parts but i didn't specifically ask.

I'll say it's good for 10Hp and call it a day, LOL
