Before I go and get a fixed aerokit wing, does anyone know of any aftermarket wings that either attach to the stock wing or replace the stock wing panel?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm looking at adding an aero kit to my '00 996 C2. I really think the car needs a rear wing aesthetically (IMO, at least). Anyways, I also really like the idea of the active aerodynamics of the stock wing coming out at 70mph. Before I go and get a fixed aerokit wing, does anyone know of any aftermarket wings that either attach to the stock wing or replace the stock wing panel? Or any kind of replacement wing thats a bit more prominent but still retains an active setup? Also, is there a way to reprogram the deployment speed for say 60mph? My commute has some very tight twisties that I regularly take at 65mph and I can use all the downforce I can get (not sure it'd really make a difference). Driving through there at 70mph would be tempting the local revenue procurement officers a bit much. Thanks! -Dave '00 996C2 '00 Audi A4 1.8T '97 M3 Coupe '89 M3 track car

I own Velocity Performance Engineering. We are developing a snug fitting rear active spoiler that deploys upward at programmable speeds, then automatically adjusts for cornering and braking.

First posted 18 years ago. No response for 18 years. Wonder if the OP is still alive........ Necrothread! P.S. I hope OP figured out he could just push the button and manually raise the spoiler before his canyon craving run.

Holy thread resurrection! I hate reading a handful of responses, getting interested in the topic only to find out its ancient history!
