This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My girlfriend and I recently returned from an incredible 7 day 1371 mile road-trip in my 2001 C2 Cab. The trip originated from California, MD and included stops in PA, the Finger Lakes region of NY (Watkins Glen and one or five wineries), my home town of Rochester, NY and then through Buffalo to Ontario, Canada. While in Canada we stayed in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Stratford, and Toronto. Top was down the entire time except for one rainy day. The 996 made driving so much fun and just as much a part of the experience as the fantastic scenery. The only unplanned events were a CEL on day 2 and a meeting with a Canadian police officer. The CEL codes were P1128 and P1130. After some quick research on Rennlist, I removed and then re-tightened the oil-filler cap and cleared the codes. Truth is that there was not much else I could do as I was in the middle of nowhere. It has been almost 2 weeks and over 1000 miles later and the CEL has not returned. The Police officer reminded me that the speed limit in Canada was km/h and not mph then let me go with a warning. The pic is of a small diner we stopped at for lunch in PA and of course we are already planning another trip.

POST 2Original post

Excellent trip by all accounts and topless to make it even better. Get out and drive people!

POST 3Original post

A radar detector is a must with these cars. They can be over the speed limit in a blink of an eye. Glad you enjoyed your trip.

POST 4Original post

Great way to pile on some entertaining miles, in a Porsche cab! Nice cop.
