Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My car failed the annually roadworthiness test due to bad alignment of the front lights. The tester said the lights point to the sky. Since I have Xenon light on my car the only reason for this should be a broken adjuster either at the front or the back axle. Looking through the forums and underneath my car I found the trouble area but very surprised as it seems the adjusting link is broken in half and I dont know where/to what the bottom end. Looking at the diagram it seems the broken piece is number 20. 18 and 19 are completely missing and I am not sure where this should be put on. Should this connect to the Coffin-Arm or to number 1 in the picture? Number 1 would not make sense since that part is not moving when driving.

POST 2Original post

Looks like you are going to need a new @18, 19 & 20. #18 mounts on the lower control arm, against the two tabs that stick up (seen in the lower right of your 2nd pic). It has an expanding pin that goes through the hole in the arm to hold it in place.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks a lot. Just ordered the parts.

POST 4Original post

Yeh it appears from your photo that the hanging arm is broken off from the yellow circles. Either one of them.
