These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Generation: 20261026T152433Z · outcome-qualification-6. Deterministic extraction; no AI model inference. How we use sources

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I do not have a microscope to see in detail, but you guys pay attention to everything, today I had the oil changed and I asked for the filter, I opened and dissected at home and took this pics, I see nothing suspicious but 2 heads think better than one. What you guys think?

POST 2Original post

Middle of the second picture, all the way to the left, I see alien eyes. You're screwed. I thought I saw some metal flakes, but it was dog hair on my tablet.

POST 3Original post

Contrary to what Paul Waterloo may think, you shouldn't need a microscope to see the stuff that will damage your engine (Sorry Paul, I couldn't resist) That filter looks pretty clean to me...How many miles on that oil?

POST 5Original post

I clearly saw Baby Jesus. Sell it on ebay and add a GT3 to the fleet. (It Looked ok to me)

POST 7Original post

Colonel Mustard. In the Conservatory. With the wrench.

POST 8Original post

Metal flakes in the oil filter are easy to spot. This might be an extreme case - my filter after my 996 engine died...

POST 9Original post

My last filter change looked as clean as yours Blue, and that is a good thing. I'd say no worries.

POST 11Original post

have you also considered a UOA? I send mine to Blackstone Labs.

POST 12Original post

I think I see a carbon fiber covered spatula and one of JohnnyIrish's Rolex

POST 13Original post

Quotes source post: 12442590

Still looking for that Rolex. I even cut the other half of the filter open.

POST 14Original post

Seems like an awful lot of oil on that filter. I suspect an RMS leak.

POST 15Original post

Quotes source post: 12441796

That's nothing. Mine (when the main beatings got cooked and the IMS beating took a beating) had 20-30 times more metal. More glitter than a cheap stripper.
