Suggestion
Sometimes it makes sense to check with the dealer.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Needless to say (just have a look) my front lip on my C4S was a bit well worn. I bought the Ebay Turbo style after reading a post where someone said "just by the Ebay version and replace it when it gets trashed!" because they are only $85. After some thought I decided to replace it with an OEM version and keep the C4S look versus the Turbo look. Man, that was a good decision and for $200 with tax I'm super happy with the quality versus the Ebay version. Looks like I'll be tossing 2 in the trash!
St. Louis Porsche got it for me in 2 days. Everyone online had shipping costs as much as the price of the part AND you get an excuse to browse the showroom!
nope. Its way too low to go over a parking curb. It came this way from the previous owner. If I dont back out of my driveway at an angle Ill do the same thing to it. My guess would be all the damage has been from steep driveways.
I solved the problem of my bumper getting destroyed by cutting and taping thin strip of stainless steel to the bottom of my bumper using 3M body tape. It is almost unnoticeable when looking at the car however it completely prevents the bumper from getting damaged from speed bumps, small curbs, and driveways. It actually works and looks better than I had expected. I'll try to remember and post a picture in case it helps anyone.
Porsche just discontinued the flexible 996.2 GT3 Cup Car lip spoiler I have on my Aerokit bumper.
Now I cringe even more when I scrape steep driveways.
I hope they don’t discontinue yours too.
The eBay lips are very popular with the Turbo crowd, especially the Aero kit front lip because it is $100 for the replica and $1200 for the the factory part. The eBay lips actually fit really well and are of good quality. Most people's main gripe about them is the texture of the replica doesn't match the factory (replica is glossy, factory is matte).
(this lip only works on cars with the Turbo front bumper, BTW)
