Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Some time ago I posted getting ABS / PSM errors intermittently... Thanks to all you good advisers I ordered the "Pressure Switch" aka Brake Lamp switch ($18). Hard to get to but sure was the problem. Could really feel the difference from the old unit to the new one in smooth actuation vs. old ones sticky motion once out of the car. And a note DIY to others - it Twist out - One Quarter turn! And that funny but worrisome "Weerrr Weerrrr Weerrr" Noise from the engine = Belt Idler rollers (Deflection Roller). Replaced both ($70 each - Sunset) & Noise GONE! So now there is just that some time Buzzz in the sunroof...

Bees, wasps...? Nice to hear about fixing noise related issues.

POST 3Original post

this has been a bit of a challenge to find, way to go on getting it figured out!!!

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

From my long gone days in the Computin Biz - intermittents drive me nuts! But again the great advice on this board helps logically narrow things down. Great resource to save a couple trips to the shop and actually very satisfying to be able to DIY and see the fix work. Now I remember why I like to "tinker" with these older Porsches. And with the money I saved I'll buy pastries for the crew at Chris's :-)

You'll buy "pasties" for the crew at Chris's?! My, so that is what the place is like... It is still probably cheaper than Deja Vu! ...and they fix Porsche's too! LOL
