Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

You're misunderstanding me guys, I installed a spoiler indicator light 2 years ago which flashes when the spoiler is moving and stays on when it is raised
Leading evidence: 'Install spoiler indicator light 2 years ago' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check before u make the' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I'll have to change a couple of capacitors to get the timing right.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi fellow 996 fans, after searching online and in my manual I have come up with zero.
Does anybody know where the ABS ecu is located? I have designed and built a
circuit to control the spoiler at my desired speeds ( instead of up at 50 and down at 25 )
which I have at the moment. I need to tap into the ABS outputs to obtain a speed signal.
Many thanks for any help out there.
Bill
As I remember, it’s located in front of the centre console under the dash? Accessed by pulling panel off next to where your right leg rests against the console. You will also find a controller under the trunk on the left side.
I thought the spoiler raised at 73 and lowered at 35 (or thereabout)...Where did you get the 50 and 25 #'s ? I think the ABS controller is on the ABS block that's under the plastic cowling in the frunk - drivers side (just in front of the brake fluid reservoir). Good Luck
We have been discussing intercepting the abs speed signal for a motor swap here. Basically the last page of the thread may help.

Thanks De Jeeper, your thread was a great help. I didn't realise that the abs module divided the inputs by 8, my circuit was built on it receiving 48 pulses per rev. I'll have to change a couple of capacitors to get the timing right.
I found the abs module on the right hand inner wing but on studying the wiring diagram more closely, one of the outputs goes to the rear mounted dme which is right next to where I need to tap into the spoiler relays - result.
Again many thanks to all who answered, much appreciated, I will continue with my experiments!
I would double check before u make the change. Dcdrechsel system works out to 48 pulses and its after the abs pump and before the dme. So it might knock the pulses down after the dme? I got my original info off posts not experiments.
