Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ive recently acquired some heated sport seats. The swap is going well but I need some help of locating the harness to connect the factory heat switches. I plan on putting the switches where the blanks are located in my center console. Ive attached a pic to show what Im looking for. If you happen to know the part number or could lend some advice, I would appreciate it. Thanks, MH

POST 2Original post

You are adding heated seats to a car that did not previously have them? See these threads: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ting-996t.html (use the wayback machine to get access to the pictures: http://web.archive.org ) http://dennisvogel.com/heatedseats/index.html

Yes, Ive found that tread but cannot seem to locate the plugs/harness that connect to the factory control buttons.

You can't find the part numbers for the plugs? 999 650 109 40 White connector for driver's seat heater switch 999 650 035 40 Black connector for passenger's seat heater switch 999 650 330 00 female spades for switches need 10 Or you can't find a prt# for the harness? That's because there is no harness for the heated seats. It's all part of the main wiring harness. You have to make a new harness yourself. This is what Dennis Vogel's web site describes. The other choice is to buy a complete harness out of a donor car, cut out the heated seats portion, and splice it into your car's harness. That's what the 6speedonline link describes.
