Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

They had better grip in the rain than the full-depth R888s that I ran last year, and those are already known to be a pretty solid rain tire.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Need no rear tire set. I am running Michelin PS2. The cost for the rears is around 500.00 per tire. Size 285 40 18
I can get buy a new set of Michelin Super Sport and get front and reart ires for 1090.00. The only drawback is rear size would be 265 35 18
Has anyone tried this (Charlie) and can you provide feedback.
Want to know what the difference would be. I also do DE events. 996 C2
Thank for the help.
Louis, you will never look back. They're quieter, more comfortable, and the rain grip is
shockingly
good. They had better grip in the rain than the full-depth R888s that I ran last year, and those are already known to be a pretty solid rain tire. I have 225s on the front and 265s on the rear and the only significant problem is how easy it is to curb your rear wheel on 10" MY02 wheels like ours, so do watch out for that.
I've been thinking about you all the way out here! I'm scheming a bit to try to get back for a September event.
I'm happy with the move to SS's for the same reasons as pontifex4. I opted for 295/30/18s to give me a little more top-end range for AutoX and to correct my speedo that's a little bit off with stock size.
This spring I got Pilot Super Sports (the summer tire, not the all season) in 225/40-18 and 265/35-18. Street driving only. So far they have been outstanding ... quiet, good ride, and great grip dry or wet.
Just ordered two 295/30R19XL 100Y BSW HAN VENTUS V12 EVO2 K120 for $648 shipped to Canada incl. tax and fees

I believe we are talking about a set of rear tires, not a compete set. The Michelin rear are about $150 more and mine are 19" not 18".
Just saying that Discount Tire prices are hard to beat
Dunno....Super Sports are 295/ea for a rear tire 18/285/35's. No doubt 19's are more but I think the better tire is the PSS and the price is good. I'm thinking WYO bought a entire set for 917.
Looked to me like wyo bought the Pilot Sport A/S 3, which is not the same tire as the Pilot Super Sport. In the sizes for my car (NB 996.1, 225/40-18 and 265/35-18), the Tire Rack price on the A/S 3 is about $130 less than the PSS.
