Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi all I'm a newbie to the forum. I've had my 996 for about 6 months now. Have to say I don't think I ever want to own any other car. It's incredible.
I do have a niggling issue to sort on the suspension. Sounds like a farm truck squeaking when it gets hot. Some threads suggest lower arms so will look at them.
I'm going to do a few things to her. Add some side skirts. Fit some xenon lights and some day running lights. Oh and I want to do the calipers in red. I did try searching to see how best this is done but nothing really what I was hoping for.
I'm doing the front pads and discs next week. Should be fun. Going. To follow the youtube video on how to do this. Any other tips?..
Anyhow hope you like her. I love in uk and based down south.
Love reading the forum btw.
Speak soon.
Looks nice!
There are several options for calipers. You can paint them yourself - there are kits available. Another option that's more expensive is to remove them and have them professionally stripped and repainted or powder coated. If you can't find a company in your local area to do that, then you can find one online and send them out. Personally, I prefer the PORSCHE script to be painted on with a stencil as opposed to a decal or sticker.
Good luck!
Welcome to Rennlist and Porsche ownership. There is also a great DIY brake video by Van that helped me on my first pad and rotor replacement. The search button should help you find info on most of your future projects. Any more Porsche pics of your ride?

I've had mine just over a month and I LOVE IT. so much so that Ive just brought my wife a Boxster.
The squeak is either the coffin arms or the tuning forks.
My car was making all sorts of noises so I bit the bullet and had all of mine replaced as well as a new clutch, RMS, upgraded IMS, and new brakes.
I thought it's best to get it perfect as I'm keeping it for the long haul.
My 911 & my wife's 986.
