My brother went to one in Arizona when he had my car and it cost him less than $500 to recover a seat, leather included (though it was the standard partial leather seat, you will find that is still way less than a not-used kit you must still install for that same seat).

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The seats in my '99 are supple leather and the driver's seat bottom is worn through. I would like to reupholster both seats so they match.
At this point I have only found two websites that carry supple leather:
www.lseat.com
and
www.autoberry.com
I could use my local upholstery guy and see what he can do. However, I would like to try my hand at it. Anyone have a recommendation for a supple leather source?
I think yours are savanna beige, right?
im not sure if this is supple leather, but take a look at this

You might want to check with an upholsterer. The LS pre-made seat covers are good. I've got pictures sent to me and also know of another member that used them and was pleased. You can't beat the price!
Just as a heads up on Lseat, I too was lured by their cheap prices. I ordered a set of sample swatches from them. The leather is not the quality you are accustomed to. I mean, technically, it is leather, but did not have the look and feel of what i was looking for.
FWIW, recovering the seats is not that difficult. Just time consuming. I recovered the leather seats in my old 300ZX with a kit from leatherseats.com It was a top quality kit priced about halfway between Lseat and Classic9's pricing. I was able to do each seat over the course of a few nights in the comfort of my living room. Having never done it before, they came out pretty good. Unfortunately they no longer sell Porsche seat kits. They used to sell 986/996 kits years ago, but their catalog no longer lists them.
Edited - disregard. i saw the post above from LSeat. I must've ordered sample swatches from someone else. Those actually look pretty good.
I saw leatherseats.com. But, like you said, they do not have Porsche listed. I would have thought there would be more options than what I've seen so far.
A 300ZX turbo....be still my heart! Full disclosure: 90s Japanese sports cars do it for me like no other.
Good info about LSeat. The customer pictures on their web site reflect the price I think. They look good, but not great.
A set of front and rears from Classic9 would be $2,750, not including install. Surely, there's gotta be some happy medium?
I've found some other seat cover options while doing research for my Turbo. Can't attest to the quality of any of these, but they are options:
topsonline.com
worlduph.com
If you decide to go custom, the following are options for OEM-grade materials:
hydesleather.com (Alcantara)
miamicorp.com (leather)
europeanautointeriors.com (leather)
gahh.com (carpet and leather)
Classic9 is legit and you get what you pay for. They are widely used and respected, especially in the 928 community.
They redid the steering wheel, shift boot, dash, and Pasha on my 928 a few years ago.
