original GT3 Recaro buckets typically trade for 3-4K on used market.

Suggestion
The EVO is even comfortable enough for street use IMO.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Like many, my '03 has the usual leather sport seats. They are ok and in excellent condition, but still look and feel a little soccer dad-ish.
Without going to a hardcore racing bucket, can anyone recommend something a little more 'aggressive' for the poser in me? Might even come in handy for upcoming DEs and autocross . . .
These guys seem to carry a pretty good selection:

That Recaro is a great poser seat, if you want a seat that you'll stick in better and is much lighter, a Sparco Fighter or Evo would be a great choice.
I do like the Recaro Sportster, looks like the 997 GT3 RS bucket seat.
I use an Evo for track duty. The choices in seats can be overwhelming.
Two bits of advice: Try some seats on if you can. Not easily done but I perused the paddock at many a track day sitting in cars. Second, if you can afford a FIA certified seat then even better. Not saying the Chinese knockoffs on EBay will buckle in a crash but I don't want to risk my safety.
The EVO is even comfortable enough for street use IMO.
Pretty much all folding/reclining seats with the exception of 1 will not have FIA cert so don't dwell on that so much for a daily driver seat. What you should focus on is how well it fits you/headroom/padding comfort/bolstering/easy in and out/materials/etc.
There are many choices depending on budget. My Recaro's were great and wish I would've kept them over my OEM sport seats.
Well, the plot thickens! Now I need to know if I will be using a 3, 4 or 6 point belt as each seat has limitations in accommodating each setup . . . no simple decisions with this poser seat selection.
The problem with aftermarket seats is the whole safety issue. I am have a similar problem. I want an aftermarket "poser" seat because I want the ability to fold my driver seat for rear seat access, but I am scared of the knock-offs not protecting me in an accident. I haven't done the research, but I don't think FIA cert is on folding seats and only on racing buckets, so the best bet may be to stay with a name brand?? I think the seat above in alpine003 post or similar may be the best bet.
This will start a war.... but from my 15 years of track experience, I have always "heard" without roll over protection (roll bar, cage) you want the OEM 3 point seat belt because you need to be able to bend in the event your car rolls and roof collapses. Also, last time at the track I was having a discussion with another instructor and he also mentioned that a harness without a HANS or other H&N may exaggerate the neck injury because your body stays put, but your head moves forward.
So, for me, I am staying OEM 3 point until I get a roll bar and H&N.
check out Stable Energies, in (Garfield), NJ (stablenergies.com). They carry a decent selection of seats and you can go their showroom, sit in a few seats, see what fits you and your budget. They know what they are doing and can help answer all your questions about rolls bars, seating, harnesses, etc. GL
Thanks for the kind words!
One thing I will say... Be careful when shopping for quality brands like Recaro online. There are still countless places that claim to be authorized dealers, and are absolutely not.
We are a Recaro master distributor, we keep a large inventory, and have many seats on display here at our showroom (20+ from Recaro, OMP, and Kirkey).
+996.
There are a LOT of exact replicas coming out of China recently right down to the actual logos and FIA tagging. A warehouse got busted recently with fake Brembo and AP/Alcon calipers as well.
