This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Oh, Porsche. IIRC, "paint in custom color" for the 918 runs $62,000 on the option sheet. It's $5K for a Carerra or Cayman in custom paint to match.
It can't take more than a gallon or two of paint, and they were going to paint it some color, anyway. Changing colors doesn't seem like too much of an imposition when you're spending $850K for the base car.
But if the market will bear $62K for a custom color, then $62K it is.
I know what you mean about being invisible. I was a a local coffee shop a few months ago in my turbo, with the top down. A Bugatti Veyron pulled in and parked next to my car, which then became invisible. People flocked over to take photos of the car with their mobile phones. Even my wife saw it as it pulled in and said: "What the hell is that thing?"
Hoehn Carlsbad is the same place we bought our Cayman. I had no idea they sold a 918, and I'm there all the time. A very happy commission day for that salesman!!
I'll sure keep my eyes peeled for this car, since it's local.
[That GT1 has headlights that are nearly identical to an early 996. How did the sell any of those monstrosities? I feel sorry for the poor sap that bought it... it's probably worth almost nothing unless they tape off the lower portion of the lights.]
I agree with OP, this car has presence.
A P1.
One came up on me while I was walking downtown San Diego. It was silent. I totally missed the car until my girlfriend pointed out what was sitting right next to us.
It was this close to me.
While I'm in agreement, I just couldn't help notice that BIG panel gap from the first pic(around where the pumpkins meet the fender and hood). This seems sorta strange to me on a car like this. I bet they lost .001 cd by this. Was the frunk closed all the way?
With that said, I'd still take a P1 over the 918.
