Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Long story short, I have a puncture on my passenger rear tire and I had to install the spare tire.... When I lowered the car I noticed the spare did not had enough air so I had the car towed on a flat bed to my house (insurance paid for it).. My question is, I have to drive tomorrow to the tire shop so I can get the tire fixed or replaced (these are brand new continental DWS) and I dont have any other car... Can I drive with a spare tire on the rear? or should I swap the front tire with the spare? Shop is only like 20 minutes away..

POST 2Original post

my 2 cents: if I do not absolutely, positively NEED to drive with a spare tire (last resort, in the middle of nowhere, etc.), I will NOT. Paying for a tow is much cheaper vs. damages in case of a blow out

POST 3Original post

Our spare tires were never meant to be used for the rear. In case of a rear flat you need to move the front tire to the rear and put the spare on the front. Ask me how i know lol. I hate reading owners manuals and I usually think i know everything

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks, i will do that tomorrow morning This is how the tire looks. I dont think its repairable
