Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey, can anyone verify if 996 turbo springs will fit a 996 Carrera? I understand the turbo sits 30mm lower than the Carrera. Im considering lowering my 2003 Carrera and there is a set of turbo springs and struts close by for sale. Thanks.

POST 2Original post

C2 and turbo struts are different to my knowledge. Don't drop the money yet. Are you C2 or C4?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

2003 C2. Id heard the struts were different but never anything conclusive about the springs not being interchangeable.

POST 4Original post

Not particular to 996 but on 997 . Rear = the same, front uses a different front mounts, meaning that the springs are larger on AWD (997 AWD front mounts are the same as 996 TT/C4S models). If you use the mount it may work but geometry will be off.
