Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Over that cover, use a silver-guard as a second layer.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey all!
Our 99 C4S lives outside. Since we are renting a house here in Germany, I dont have any options for covered parking at home, and the sun gets very direct in summer. Weve just had the leather on the drivers side a-pillar damaged by sun exposure and want to prevent further damage.
The car is in the shop for a full paint job and I want to buy a really good car cover for daily use. Does anyone have a good recommendation? To be clear, not looking for the lowest price but for best protection and ease of use.
Many thanks!
+1 on the Porsche Silverguard. Breathable, dries quickly, reflective to keep the heat out. Overall, a good all around cover. I used one while we were doing a renovation and needed to leave the car outside.
The 997 gt3 outdoor cover is very light and works on my 99 aero with gt3 RS front bumper thin but water tight BUT
For more severe conditions The silver guard 996 stock is excellent sun coast has it for 179.it also has thick and has elastic lip for a snug fit and the fit works for my 99 aero perfectly

If you have a nice paint job and you keep it outside all the time, use 2 covers. One that is soft, supposed to be an indoor cover. Over that cover, use a silver-guard as a second layer. Your paint will thank you.
I used a cover on my 1974 911S outside in Florida. It wasn't driven often and, over time, the trapped humidity combined with heat turned a few sections of red paint to pink (along the front edge of the front trunk). This was in the 80's, on older paint technology and older cover technology, so I don't know if that has any relevance to today. Probably wouldn't have been an issue if I took the cover on and off more frequently, but I was traveling for weeks at a time then, so it wasn't avoidable. Not trying to rain on the idea, but mentioning just in case.
I bought mine from

and highly recommend it. I live in NJ and my car lives outside due to not having a garage. Great quality and stands up to some tough winter conditions.
