Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm wrapping up an Ohlins suspension install on my GT3 and the initial test drive has a strange clatter it's making when the suspension is loaded in left turns. Slow left turns do not seem to make a noise and it's only when going left. I think it's coming from the right rear but I'm not 100% sure. Any ideas? Here's a video of the noise: https://photos.app.goo.gl/WG7qYtUyr5E1gX5q7

POST 2Original post

Sounds like a rotating sound. Something is in contacted with rotating parts during compression of the right side, or decompression of the left side. In slow turns, the compressions is not that great = no sound. Thats my guess since the noise were with the same frequence, not a randon nocking here and there. Lift the car and lift one wheel with a jack to see if parts are getting in contact that should not.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well, I thought it was coming from the rear but after thinking about Trebor's point that it sounds like a noise as a result of spinning I remembered I had pretty tight clearance with the Bilstein and my wheels up front before and didn't double check that clearance with the Ohlins. Low and behold:
