Good Morning! To start off, I know there are some threads on installing the Continental TR7412UB-OR itself that already exist but I am having some difficulty sorting out the information that pertains to a 2002 996 with the Bose Audio package (which, being a 2002 car, does not use fiber optics like 03 and up). So I decided I would ask with a thread! If I bought the Conti TR7412UB-OR today, what would I need to do the job of replacing my factory CR-220. In particular, I am trying to figure out how to do this myself unless bergvill f/x opens up and I can buy the plug and play wiring harness. I appreciate your time!

I believe there is also Metra harness that works for non-MOST systems like yours.

I have the continental head and recently installed it with bose package. I used the plug N play harness. I did have to buy a new amp as I could not get the factory to work with it, I got a second opinion from an audio shop and they agreed. Although it might have been bias confirmation.

I just installed the Continental radio in my 2000 996 Cab. Got the unit and plug-n-play harness at Bergvill F/X. Super simple to set up, no need for new amp.

You can email Bergvill F/X to confirm. He'll have you send pictures of the back of your radio most likely to confirm it will work.
