Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Well I bought the cheapest 911 thats running with a clean title I could find in the country. Its a 99 c2 cab manual. I was already on the forums due to I have a cayenne turbo as well. But I'm excited to be where the cool kids are at, lol. But of course to by the cheapest means its things wrong. It runs and drives, I drove it back from Atlanta to Chicago. The issues are front struts are dead 💀. Top wont go down (i see its out of fluid) rear window needs regulator but I got it up manually till I order on so it won't rain in the car. And driver side seat won't move forward and backwards and passenger seat won't move at all. I checked fuses their good. The previous owner just left the car outside and the interior got rained on a lot. So I also need door panels and a new wood steering wheel. If anyone have any extra parts please let me know this is a dream come true for me and a passion project. I've been a 911 fan since I was 11 thanks to the movie bad boys that 964 turbo turned me out then I just became obsessed with Porsche, then I made the mistake and drove some when I became old enough to drive and its been a love since.
congrats on the new acquisition. As a fellow owner of less than perfect 996 cab, I totally resonate with the blend of excitement and desire to address imperfections. Hope youre getting some seat time to enjoy the ride in the mean time !
Welcome to the club!
I have some Savanah Beige rear seats out of my 2000 Cab. If you want them, let me know. Just taking up space in my garage. Would ask that you cover shipping, but happy to box up and send out.
Congrats! The real danger to water getting in the car is that the alarm/immobilizer modules are under the front seat(s). If you get enough water in there to reach those boards it's potentially big problems if not "game over"... If possible get it someplace dry (do you have a garage? or a friend with a garage?) and pull the front seats out (4 bolts) and check the wells beneath the seats - make sure they're dry and free of any gunk, rodent droppings, etc. And, yes get the rear window and top fixed and you'll have yourself a nice little cruiser (for what I assume was a very reasonable price
). Enjoy!
Awesome! Another 996 renovation begins! Welcome to the madness, although it sounds like you've had the madness for some time without the hardware. The one not so obvious thing to fix are the water drains in back. Several new owners, including me, found water in the back seat floor and under the seat from the drains being plugged. Good luck. Drive fun!
