CONSOLE RISER KIT

It's official!!! After 5 months of development, the Console Riser Kit is available for pre-order and will ship starting Monday, November 10, 2014. Check out the
product
page for full details. Prices start at $480 for Black carpet, and $540 for alternate carpet colors. Here's a quick rundown of the key features:
Raises the entire OEM center console and shifter assembly 2 inches.
Shifter is moved closer to steering wheel for quicker shifts and greater vehicle control.
Raised elbow rest for increased comfort.
Replaces the forward center stack, and is available in 3 configurations:
- Blank Face
- Storage Bin
- Climate Control Unit
This is the only solution on the market that allows raising the shifter while retaining the interior.
(Current fitment is for 996 Coupe only. Cabriolet fitment is under development.)

It improves Ergonomics as you simply reach your hand over to grab the lever. There's no reaching down as on a typical floor mounted shifter. Take a look at the Cup cars and you'll see they all have risers.
For reference, here's an attached picture showing a 996 cup car interior. You'll see that the shifter is mounted on those blue standoffs to raise the shifter closer to the steering wheel.
The cup risers are 40mm, and can't be utilized with the interior intact. The Console Riser Kit actually raises the assembly slightly higher, just over 2 inches (appx 52mm), to optimize shifting, as well as the console elbow rest height.
