YES, the dealer price for hardtops is up there (and some ebay sellers' prices are up there) but I got mine used via Craigslist for under $500 (great shape, with free cover and stand, defrosters work)

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Selling the hardtop from my 2002 Cab, but I do not believe the (potential) purchaser has mounting hardware installed on his 2004. Is it possible to remove the mounting hardware from my car to install in his? I can't seem to find directions anywhere.

IMHO, too much hassle for you to remove....unless buyer pays for time/labor to remove the components from your car.
All the Cabs have mounting hardware. I believe there are 3 different versions. His 2004 should match your 2002. It is different on a 99 and again different on a 997. Try to mount the top with an extra person or two to gently check fit and mounts.
I thought all Cabs had the mounting receivers as well, but I popped the caps by his rollbars and looked down there, definitely did not appear to be there. Based on the instructions above, guess I will give transplanting a shot, he's agreed to buy for $1k. Fair price?
All cabs had mounting hardware when the hard tops were standard equipment and the top was not deleted when the car was ordered. When Porsche made the tops optional, I think that was in 2003 or 2003, then the hardware was not installed unless the top was ordered.
$1K seems like a good deal for you as the seller.
SELL IT quick before buyer starts researching. YES, the dealer price for hardtops is up there (and some ebay sellers' prices are up there) but I got mine used via Craigslist for under $500 (great shape, with free cover and stand, defrosters work)
FWIW, mine had the "hardtop delete" option but luckily, the factory mounting hardware was already in the car. I made sure the top I bought had the hardware that matched those in my car ( I actually drove home with the hardtop on it)
Happy to report back that the removal of mounting hardware (and install on buyer's car) went smoothly, the most difficult part was unlatching the defrost wiring harness. I was able to remove the plastic place holders from his car. Took about an hour, could probably do it in 30 since I know how it's done now.
