Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello. First time user here. I have a problem with the lumbar adjustment on my 2004. It basically pumps the support up to 100% every time I unlock the car. This is despite me deflating it to zero before I leave the car. I've tried resetting the profiles, changing keys etc. Any pointers?

POST 2Original post

The power seat controller module is a known 996 weak point. Also expensive to replace.

HI RPM'sS2. The rest of the seat is fine in terms of memory. ie fore and aft adjustmentmemory etc. Just the lumbar. I would have thought they all connect to the same memory point? Also, the buttons on the side to pump it up and deflate work fine. Doesn't this suggest that the seat controller is fine and that the memory is the issue? or is it all controlled by the module?

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

reading through the posts below has thrown up some clues about syncing the key by a user name Iceter. I've emailled him hoping he can provide more information. if not, I might dig through the manuals again. This seems to be what he did.
