Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

The bike becomes rock steady the faster it goes because of the RAKE so the scariest thing is that it will only go straight and its to hard to even change lanes.

A broken bone is alot better then being run over by a car, at least that was my justification when i swiched over from crotch rockets to dirt bikes.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

17 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Spent the required amounts to change THE bearing, AOS, rms, clutch and flywheel, water pump, etc. Bearing was perfect after 72k, cranked up Bark at the Moon by Ozzy, and this 47 year old felt he still has the bargain of the century in these cars.... drive em boys (and girls) - most fun with your clothes on....

POST 2Original post

Nice work, im also 47, ride a dirt bike too, My car also has 70k on it but my water pump is not done yet

POST 3Original post

than two feet deep and the high temperature climbs into the mid 30's or even (on my knees...short prayer) the low 40's I can give our recently acquired 01 a little exercise. For now she is tucked into the garage and snoozing....

POST 4Original post

I used to ride dirt bikes but I'm 72 now so not anymore. I still ride a couple of V8 street bikes and also love the Porsche. Have fun you guys.

POST 5Original post

Congrats of up fixing the car. and to join in the middle age hobby pics here is me with my hair on fire in a shifter kart dodging cones.

POST 7Original post

My wife always tells me i will never grow up and im only 33. So i showed her you guys' pics 2001 CR250R

POST 8Original post

Hell I am 73 and I was only considering asking my mate to sell me one of his two dirt bikes yesterday. That's a coincidence. The one I like is a Montessa or which ever one he wants to sell me. I don't even know if they are good as they haven't been ridden in many years. Just a thought. I like the idea of me blasting through the Amish Lanes on one of them. BUT many years back I broke my leg in two places when I came off a 250CC Yamaha which I had. So maybe it's not a good idea at my age. What dyu all think?? I havent mentioned my thoughts to my wife though. I am a chicken haha. They do say (who ever THEY are) that we return to childhood the older we get. That saying seems to be true in my case lol.

POST 9Original post

I think if you feel like it you should do it. If I did it I would probably ride it harder than I should and at my age risk of a broken bone isn't good. I still ride on the street so there is always a risk but less. When I rode dirt bikes I mostly rode on the edge, if I was to do it again I'm sure I would once again be riding the same way. I rode the V8 bike you see in my avatar 152 mph not long ago and I already get a ticket in the Porsche at 101 mph, I hope you are more sane than me if you get the dirt bike.

POST 10Original post

I'll bet 152 mph on that bike was a little bit scary!

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I bet 152 on that thing was dang scary!! after racing off road and having three concussions, just playing now as my bride said she would not change diapers after my next tree encounter.. The Sandlapper National enduro is in a couple of weeks, so we are just laying trail on a couple of old xr's - still having fun being around it all....

POST 12Original post

A broken bone is alot better then being run over by a car, at least that was my justification when i swiched over from crotch rockets to dirt bikes. And ive also had my fair share of broken bones riding dirt.

POST 13Original post

I've owned way more moto's than Porsche's over the years! Mostly KTM dual-sports, big and small...

POST 14Original post

I sell these bikes and am often asked how fast I've ridden it. The DAKOTA DIGITAL speedometer records the high MPH and the high RPM So I can show it whenever someone asks. I am old so they often say "YOU ARE CRAZY" and I reply by telling them "THATS WHAT THEY SAY BACK AT THE HOME" which usually gets a laugh. The bike becomes rock steady the faster it goes because of the RAKE so the scariest thing is that it will only go straight and its to hard to even change lanes. It doesn't take many seconds to go from 80MPH to 152 so I didn't have time to get scared, the next time I will put 160 on it. The engine is a 350 CHEVY ZZ4 rated 400 HP. Bike weighs 960 lbs.

POST 15Original post

Always amazes me what you can fit on the back of a bike (especially if you're riding solo). On this trip my queen stayed home, so I had enough space for a queen mattress *and* a comfortable chair.

POST 16Original post

I had a Suzuki TC 185 dirt bike, it was a blast. Still have my 1986 Suzuki GS 450 L, bought it brand new, and keep it in excellent shape. Here's after I cleaned up the carbs recently: DSCN1399 - YouTube
