Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Thinking about 1.5" or 2" but can't decide.
With kind regards, Jonathan.
Note the photos above show the earlier version of the Fister mod, which is not as loud as the current version. The current version has a short pipe welded across and connecting the two pipes sticking out of each muffer in photo 1.
Terminology clarification:
What you are describing is usually called the 'Gundo Hack.' Fister is a specific company that does high quality muffler mods - and other upgrades.
I have the Fister mod, I believe they use 1.75". It was too loud for me, especially when cold. I crushed the pipe a little and now it's a lot better. I'm thinking a 1" pipe would be good, but everyone has their own tastes...
I have the 2.25" pipe mod shown in Babylonboots photo (post #2) above. (I made that photo composite from images I found around Rennlist! FYI, that's Darin Fister holding the grinder in the photo!)
I have a cab, and I love it. Not loud unless you give it gas, but a nice growl when you do. Easy enough to get the required materials, and easy for a local muffler shop to do. I hear Darin does beautiful work though.
