Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

have been in Germany almost all last year so didn't get to drive it (although a good friend was gracious enough to give her some exercise) but today finally hit the buck fiddy.
Congrats jyoteen, another high mileage 996 that's still going strong despite all of the naysayers. I'm a couple of thousand miles behind you, but not racking any miles at the moment because my car is on display at the auto museum during Porsche Month. I was teaching an automotive maintenance merit badge to a group of Boy Scouts on Friday night at the museum and when I told them my 996 had nearly 148,000 miles and was not worth a lot of money, the scouts and their dads were just blown away. These cars, especially well-maintained high mileage cars, are an absolutely incredible value at the moment.
some pics I took today on the celebration run...
and some bumper marks due to idiots bumping in parking lots. and dead bugs on the front
Just some dirt on the rear bumper on right.t
I'm pretty aggressive on my maintainence. mostly because this car sees a lot of track use. it was at Laguna Seca with 1000 miles on the odometer when it was new and heads to the track about 4-5x per year.
the valve seals broke apart at 96k miles so I had the shop change out almost everything attached to the engine. This includes ALL hoses, water pump (even though it was good), valves, chain guides, IMS Bearing with LN Unit.
I have the coolant flushed every 30k. shop has mentioned with engine apart that he's never seen cleaner cooling passages on any other car. maybe that's why I never have cooling problems on track. oil gets changed every 8k mikes. brake fluid gets purged 2-3x a year depending on use.
it's gone through 3 AOS, 3 clutches (OEM), but still has original flywheel, alternator, transmission, electronics, shifter, steering, sensors, window regulators, etc.
basically I drive it like I stole it every time and it gets lots of attention due to the duty cycle.
right now, I'm talking with a shop to plan for another engine out replacement of hoses, chains, guides, valves, IMS Bearing very soon to take me another 60k miles without issue.
Congratulations. It is beautiful car. Its been used like it was intended and properly maintained. Sure enough it has lasted. I have an 02 4S. Be very curious to see how high your mileage goes. Be great to see a N/A 996 get up over 200K the way a good number of 996 Turbos have.
