Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I've replaced the bottom seat covers due to bolster wear.

Was thinking maybe replacing the foam and doing leather with alcantara inserts to provide a better hold.

I had to replace the Graphite Grey carpet with Metropol Blue carpet on my Leather Door card upgrade.

Change the supple inserts for houndstooth inserts (color matching) would be the way to go for me
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Gotta say, while I love my car Im not a fan of the supple leather seats. Not a fan of the look nor the the way they feel. Maybe because they are 18 years old the support isnt great and I get a little lower back discomfort. Was thinking maybe replacing the foam and doing leather with alcantara inserts to provide a better hold. Would prefer a firmer foam with more support. Has anyone had their seats redone? Thoughts?

With a black/grey car, just black and white with blue, white/black/blue, same with red, or green. There are a lot of nice patterns that look sportier and elegant at the same time

My 2 cents is Alcantara doesn't age very well - faster than your supple leather. Even Alcantara that is cared for gets those flat spots that look dirty in photos even though it's just a light reflection thing. I think an automotive-grade fabric would be the way to go. Maybe a grey-on-black houndstooth that is a bit more subtle?
Hate to thread hijack a bit, but my interior is Natural Brown in color. Any ideas/suggestions on something that would look good but still match the rest of the interior color? I'm not sure if brown hounds tooth would look too 70s.
My 997 seats are natural brown as well (which I love btw). In order to "tie them into" the rest of my interior I'm doing the inserts in Savannah Beige (like the rest of the SB full leather interior)
This part of the door panel matches the floor carpet and back cards.
This is tough to remove. I had to replace the Graphite Grey carpet with Metropol Blue carpet on my Leather Door card upgrade.
Carpet that comes off is junk, Glue is tough.
I'd like to see some images of OP's seats. You do have options.
You can put an Air Bladder in the back of the insert back section of 986/996 seats.
I haven't added them to my Draped leather Targa seats but I did have a bladder in my 986 Sport Seats, They were firmer to the point of your back hurting with a Wallet in back pocket.
Bladder was great on long trips, I'll add one to Targa this year.
Ha! believe it or not, that was daylight...
Anyway, yeah it's going well (and it's in the other thread). Unfortunately the weather has been terrible this past week so I haven't finished the passenger seat or started the drivers yet (I'm doing it in my driveway so the weather needs to be decent).
I thought the
supple leather seats were an expensive option for our cars. I was
aways jealous of those who had them. Maybe not so much any more.
Bash let us know where you end up on this issue.
My fav interior color is natural brown w/ black carpet. If i were in your shoes, I'd do leather cross hatch inserts in a similar color to bolsters like how a few of the singer cars were done (pic below). For anyone looking for a shop (regardless of your plan), these guys look pretty experienced/knowledgeable, but I've never partied w/ them:
