I drove the same route back to my office and the red light did not come on but it ran about 190,instead of 180 like it normally did.

Had water pump and thermostat replsced . driving through town noticed heat indicator was almost 200 and red light blinking slowly. So I went back to the shop and the mechanic added more fluid to the system. I drove the same route back to my office and the red light did not come on but it ran about 190,instead of 180 like it normally did. Checked thermostat to make sure it was the same,it was but I do not like it running warmer. Since the light is not on, the fluid level must be okay. Why should it be different than before?

probably still has air in the system leave the relief open for a day or 2 and hopefully that will take care of it you will need to check each day to top up the coolant other option is take it back to the shop that did the work and have them do the burping proceedure

Try opening the bleed valve (little wire indicated by green arrow) and driving for a while. Pull it to the vertical position and leave it there while you drive around for a day or so. You'll likely have to add coolant after doing this.

Like others said, put the bail wire up and drive like that for a few days. And really OMG..."since the light is not on, the fluid level must be okay"...open the engine lid and visually look at the coolant level. In other words, check it yourself!
