I was on my way back to the office and saw it out for a test drive a few hours ago.

Take it to CarMax for the test drive, maybe you can buy it from Mr All-Caps and drive it directly to CarMax.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just wondering what you guys think about this car for sale here in San Diego. It seems like there's something fishy (but what do i know?).
By the smog history and the license plate, it shows that it came to California sometime last year. The smog history report shows that it was smogged twice in 30 days last summer. This is strange because a smog certificate is valid for two years unless it's sold, in which case it needs a smog cert for the new buyer if more than 90 days from the previous smog test. Did the person who bought it in Denver have issues on their trip to California and then dump it?
So it sold in Denver in 2019 recently enough that the dealer still has the listing and all the pictures up. In July 2019 it was smogged and registered in California and then sold a month later in August of 2019 by someone who didn't know the smog certificate from July was still valid? It was then sold at a dealer in northern San Diego and now 4000 miles later it is for sale again at a different dealer in eastern San Diego.
The asking price in the Denver ad was $27,500 and the first dealer in San Diego was asking $19,888. The current Craigslist listing is one of those sleazy ALL CAPS AD kind of dealer and doesn't list a price.
Denver ad:
Ad from the first dealer that sold the car in San Diego:
Current Craigslist ad. It looks like somewhere after the first San Diego dealer sold it, the wheels were changed to chrome twists.
I was on my way back to the office and saw it out for a test drive a few hours ago. I was too far away to detect any ticking noises though.
I have not known any other type of car where all of the prospective buyers are so paranoid and automatically assume some type of malice from a seller before even knowing what was happening.
That car is stupid. Its got dumb stripes on it and is being sold by a trash dealer and is a tip. Its a waste of time. They want a military kid or some mexican dude who can get approved for financing to buy it. Thats what I gather.
I like Martini stripes. I was a military dude and my step family is Mexican / German ancestry (pretty normal in the TX hill country).... I suppose I need an airline ticket to look at this one.
New owner will be here shortly asking about
:
Best size 13 driving shoes
Best mechanic to replace his leaking head gasket
Best oil additive to address lifter tick
I Never got a Smog Test to buy or sell a car in either LA county or Orange, just got one every 2 years. Bought my Boxster S in Oregon & CA gives you 30 days to register in CA. After the 30 days were up I wrote myself a new bill of sale with more recent date to extend my free ride 2 more weeks. I was careful to not get pulled over too.
I'm Brown. Should I be outraged?!
I don't even know anymore. I think jokes about stereotypes are funny. Now everyone is telling me to be outraged and play the victim.
What to do?! :crying

This forum is an oasis for many of us to escape from our F$%#@D UP society of everyone arguing about everything.
We have a few things in common :
1) We all have red blood
2) We all fear IMS
3) We now, all fear Bore Scoring
Don't ruin this escape for people who enjoy Porsche cars and the enthusiasm we have for owning, working on and driving them.
