Suggestion
I like the Suncoast set better than the stock 996, but the stock 997 pedals look nice as well.

I'm not a fan of using self tapping screws to attach a new gas pedal.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

my friend has a brand new 997. Very nice car, main thing I've noticed is how similar it is to my 2003 C4S - surprisingly so.
One thing I really like about the car is the gas, brake, clutch, etc. Pedals - very nice look and feel. Anyone know if these can be installed on a 996??

Oddly enough there wasn't enough sunken-head bolts in the kit so you can see two bolts in the brake-pedal missing. Had to find replacements at my local hardware store. Not the end of the world but still a bit annoying. Though it might have been just my kit though.
A 15 year old Toyota is just fine to get you around. You don't need a Porsche. Get over it.
If he likes the looks of aluminium pedals instead of the original black plastic ones, let him upgrade! Porsche also sells alu pedals in the Tequipment-programme if you are of those who only approve of items from the factory.
I bought a 997 gas pedal off ebay ($11!), I can pretty confidently say it won't fit. I completely took it apart and I don't see a way, it's too different. A real shame, it's much better looking, and I'm sure the brake and clutch pedals would fit fine.
Is the gas pedal stock, or did you find something to match the clutch and brake?
I'm not a fan of using self tapping screws to attach a new gas pedal. I like the design of the rennline and GSR pedals, but not the look (nor the price).
