Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The last time I did this I didn't bother to try to salvage the old rivets I had enough new ones on hand to replace every one with a new one.

If the day is warm and the rubber pliable one can sometimes use his fingers to force rubber back into place but if not the bumper cover has to come off again and the rubber sheeting positioned correctly.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I recommend lubricating the plastic rivets like they suggest in Hurdi's link ( wD40). I broke a couple of mine. Good luck ! I just did mine last weekend.
No DIY guide handy from me but there are some about.
I can offer a couple of general things that I have found helpful for when I removed the bumper cover from my Boxster.
First is there are differences from MY to MY. You have to be careful you do not overlook fasteners.
Two that are easy to overlook is there is one at each corner above the side marker light, at least in my Boxster.
Next make a sketch, take pics, make notes, as to where every fastener is located and which one goes where. They are different.
Techs tell me they can always tell when someone's been at the front bumper cover the fasteners are in the wrong holes, or fasteners are missing, the bumper cover and the other panels that fit with it/interleave with it are not fitted properly.
Take pics or make drawings so you can put everything back the way you found it. This is important as the other panels and the bumper cover want to fit together properly so air flow is correct
As for the rivets I bought some new plastic rivets. I tried to get the old rivets out without ruining them but it was not always possible. The last time I did this I didn't bother to try to salvage the old rivets I had enough new ones on hand to replace every one with a new one. Makes for a quicker job not having to be delicate with the old rivets.
When you reinstall the bumper cover be sure the radiator ducting rubber is in place. Often what one sees is the rubber droops or falls out of position and after the bumper cover is secured to the car one or both radiator duct openings is partially blocked with the rubber sheet hanging down.
