My issue is the power portion on the passenger side works well, the seat reclines and goes up nicely, mine (drivers side) does not.

Hi all, have hardback sport seats in my car, they are semi-auto (pull lever in front towards the center of the car to moved closer or further from the steering wheel, lift/push lever to raise and lower the butt part and power for the seat back (vertical position). My issue is the power portion on the passenger side works well, the seat reclines and goes up nicely, mine (drivers side) does not. I've tried to do some research without much luck, i'm probably just searching wrong verbiage. Anyways, any help will be greatly appreciated, or fixes

Hurdigurdiman, your from Ephrata! That is where I got the 996 back in May, from a guy named John. Anyways I assume it worked at one point, the passenger side works without issue. I don't see anything blocking it, but will look.

If you are still in contact with John then ask him did he ever have a problem with the seat. He is going to say "no" if he did or didn't but who knows, he may be a very honest person and tell you that he did have trouble but simply forgot to mention the fact that he never fixed the problem.

When you use the memory setting does the seat move? I had the same issue with my car and it was the switch. Had to push and pull the switch real hard to get it to work and then I found out a small screw was missing. Found out all this at a auto upholstery shop while investigating why the seat would not recline. Check it out well, it's probably some minor like mine was. Hope this helps.
