Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Use 03 4s' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace t and 2 of the 3 sides i understand' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suggestion
The coolant hose diagrams are pretty awful and may not reflect the actual configuration that your particular vehicle may have (#33, my 03 4S doesn't use anything looking like that).

Another is a one time use only clamps that gets pinched.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have a small leak at the T near the expansion tank. I need to replace the T and 2 of the 3 sides I understand. One is a regular spring style clamp. Another is a one time use only clamps that gets pinched. The third side seems to have nothing there? I don't want to start disassembling then realize it's permanently connected to the hose or some other complication I haven't expected. Has anyone ever replaced this T? It's pretty easy to get to once you remove the air box. In both pictures the pink thing isn't my finger, it's the expansion tank. In one pic you can see a motor mount, in the other blurry pic you can see the alternator, to give you a point of reference. Thanks!
That hose is a 2-piece assembly. My car had the standard constant tension hose clamp and not the crimp hose clamp (like shown n the pic below). The hose isn't that difficult to R&R.
.
Thank you for the excellent pictures!
I need what's circled in red, but can't read what the part number is or quite figure it out from the diagram. I mean come on, look at how many part numbers there are for #18. I've had a similar experience before where the diagram they show is from the 1998 model year, and they never made an updated one for newer models that were slightly different.
So its your lucky day. I have the part circled in red left over from my coolant hose rehab. My car doesnt use it. Its porsche part 99610685103. Its yours for the price of shipping. Send me a pm.
The coolant hose diagrams are pretty awful and may not reflect the actual configuration that your particular vehicle may have (#33, my 03 4S doesn't use anything looking like that). Lots of people, including myself, can't reliably look at that diagram, pull part numbers, and have 100% confidence that we'll get the correct part for our car. Lots of different hose options depending on the year, transmissions type, etc. Usually you can count on the base number being legit and get the latest configuration number (last two digits) but the part supersession is not sequential on a lot of these hoses (hose may go from a -52, to -57 to -63) while a -54 will go to -56, -58 and then -73). Very confusing.
Here at the parts I used for my 03 4S. You can reference the parts number with those in the IPD to help you make sense of that catalog mess in relation to your 99.

Some of these hoses have had several revisions, and they are sometimes different lengths for the same hose combination!
So I ordered hoses from Pelican Parts and just returned the ones that didnt work or werent needed.
