Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

A little digging may find some good used pieces to replace them with.

Most were just something that needed to be sourced from the used market or Suncoast but there there were two issues I’m not sure can be fixed....does anyone know how these could be repaired/replaced?

In my opinion if there are visual clues, whether it be on the car itself or the repair service receipts (BAT targa that went boom for example), you're better off continuing the search.

I personally do not think either of those issues would necessarily make me "run" away from a car.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

In short, provide more information about the car (Model, price, options, color, etc.) and your intended use/hopes for said car so that everyone can provide a better informed decision.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I recently flew out to see a a prospective new car....great mechanically but there were a few cosmetic issues. Most were just something that needed to be sourced from the used market or Suncoast but there there were two issues I’m not sure can be fixed....does anyone know how these could be repaired/replaced? I love the car but don’t want to move forward unless I know these can be resolved. The first shot is of the dash in front of the driver, the second shot is the passenger side in the rear greenhouse. Any advice on how to tackle these would be welcome!
More information about the car in question would be helpful. I personally do not think either of those issues would necessarily make me "run" away from a car. The dash could definitely be stained/painted/blended so that it didn't look as bad. Given the scratches size relative to the speaker cover and screw, I would probably just leave it alone. The issue on the rear parcel is more concerning, could definitely be water intrusion and may end up being costly to fix.
In short, provide more information about the car (Model, price, options, color, etc.) and your intended use/hopes for said car so that everyone can provide a better informed decision.
I think that since these are 15-20 some odd years old, there are going to be issues either immediately or down the road and you need to be prepared to do some work and shell out some $$$ as part of the plan. Kind of odd damage, but doesn't mean the end of the world. Maybe pet damage? Is this car something special as far as color and options? If these are the worst problems it has to offer, maybe it's not such a bad thing after all. A little digging may find some good used pieces to replace them with. New may be an option too.
If "great mechanically" means passed an invasive PPI then buy it and get some used interior trim pieces. If the statement means someone looked at the bottom of the car and then drove it for a little bit I'd probably prod further and be skeptical. This is 100% anecdotal musing on my part but my philosophy about car interiors is it's the easiest part of the car for an enthusiast to maintain. Not everyone can wrench but everyone can buff and take care. If the previous owner was fine with the inside of the car getting that ratty I'd be skeptical of the mechanical soundness as well.
The rear definitely looks like some type of water damage based on the surrounding material around the plastic piece, I've never seen that type of damage. Not sure what kind of pet could do that unless they left their unattended Yorkie that needed to have a go. Front dash, that damage evades me completely.
In my opinion if there are visual clues, whether it be on the car itself or the repair service receipts (BAT targa that went boom for example), you're better off continuing the search. Plenty of well sorted 996's for reasonable prices.
