Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Recently driving in cold weather I noticed even with the climate control set to high and engine warmed up to the 180 mark, the interior vents blow only lukewarm. Is this common? As far as I can tell this car has no cooling issues, no leaks. This summer one of the radiator fan resistors failed, but that is it. 99 c4 Tiptronic 996 c4 narrow body on Dyno wheels for winter use. 93k miles and going strong.

POST 2Original post

Have you looked at the blend door/missing foam threads? If not, start there. GLWS.

POST 3Original post

If you want to check if it is the HVAC unit blend doors, pop the pollen filter out and cover it with a plastic bag and reinstall. That will prevent outside cold air getting into the HVAC system. Then try heating up again and use the recirc button.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys. I will try blocking the cabin filter and see if that warms things up. In the meantime, I will search for a blend door fix.
