No additional parts were needed, and I simply put my cores back in the same box and used the return shipping label to send them back this afternoon.

I brought the car too it's semi permanent home in Reno Nevada and have been looking for a reliable indie shop to use for service maintenance and repairs but have had no luck in the past few weeks.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

24 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

New FisterD mufflers being installed as we speak! Beyond excited to hear the beast howl!

POST 2Original post

This is next for me as well, let us know how it goes!

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Holy mother of god...... Single best $475 I've ever spent in my entire life! Completely transforms the driving experience!

POST 6Original post

So you're still on the fence about whether you should have done it?

POST 8Original post

So two questions Is there a lot more drone Any issues throwing a CEL

POST 9Original post

Fister D doesn't throw a code if you throw a code after install something else is wrong. No drone at all. It is a brilliant mod. Should have been factory default.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

This exhaust is perfect! There is no drone when you're not on it or just cruising at 75 or 80 on the highway just a nice throaty rumble when you pull away from a light, but when you want it to go it sounds amazing! It sounds like an old 911, like a 911 should sound. The Porsche howl is back! No CEL's being thrown either

POST 11Original post

I am really liking the vids on YouTube. I need more sound!

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Do not hesitate just do it! You will never regret it!

How did you get yours installed and did it come with everything needed from FD?

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Tdrimer- it actually worked out perfect for me. I brought the car too it's semi permanent home in Reno Nevada and have been looking for a reliable indie shop to use for service maintenance and repairs but have had no luck in the past few weeks. Finally a client of mine (Stoddard parts, yes the restoration parts company) compiled a list of the shops that they would recommend to work on Porsches, the list had only one name, Reno rennsport. I paid $365 for the fd mufflers shipped, and paid $110 to have them fully installed. No additional parts were needed, and I simply put my cores back in the same box and used the return shipping label to send them back this afternoon. I can't stress enough how pleasant it was to work with Darrin Fister, he has this thing down to a science and I had my mufflers in less than 24 hours.

Really cool! I have a shop that could do it. Good to hear what they charged...gives me an idea of what to expect...

POST 16 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes so the indies hourly rate is $110 and quite frankly they had it done in less than that but it is what it is haha!

POST 17Original post

Best mod ever! Drive through some tunnels!! Makes me wanna drive my car more and more after I did it! Glad u like

POST 18Original post

Has anyone installed an exhaust control valve on the FisterD bridge? I know everyone says it's perfect, but I want to be able to silence it.

POST 19Original post

If you have a chance, just roll down your windows, open your sunroof and enjoy the sound without any drone on your Fister Ds. No more hesitation, just call Darin and he'll do the rest.

POST 20Original post

Have had mine for a couple weeks. There is no downside. Sounds great!

POST 21Original post

Just took my first top down drive with the Fisters. Sound is perfect! I guess it doesn't hurt that it is 76 degrees.

POST 22Original post

Now add an intake, that sound is also intoxicating.

My PO had installed the K&N intake previously, and it sounds pretty good. My Fister mufflers are about to go on- I wondered if the intake sound (which is fairly loud) will mask the mufflers at all, or is this a good combo? I do still have the factory airbox. TIA!

POST 24Original post

My next mod! going to order next week. Thanks for the review.
