Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Copilot: really wanted to replace the burl, but very cost prohibitive!
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Finally had to remove all the cracked, broken dark burl trim in my 01 Cab. Placed DD Kenwood with Garman (CAI is GREAT!!). Replaced center console with other parts on the way. Question: opinions on the carbon fiber? I have a thick skin....go to it!
So, did you remove "all" the dark burl or "all the cracked, broken dark burl"... The way your post is written, it's a little ambiguous... I'll assume you mean you removed ALL the burl trim and are thinking about replacing it with CF. I think this is fine as long as it's well done and CONSISTENT (very important - make sure the "grain/pattern" is all running in the same direction). FWIW I prefer the darker grey/black CF look over the silver...
dporto: removing ALL burl. Agreed that the patterns have to match. It was so badly cracked that removing all was the only option.
Copilot: really wanted to replace the burl, but very cost prohibitive! Would have cost nearly the value of the car! The pattern is a hydrographic, oversprayed with clear coat and baked. I think it's hard to tell with the other trim in place unless you look/feel close. Maybe not...but a cheaper alternative for a DD.
Replace it with 993 interior bits. Apparently, that sh__ is made of the same stuff as Captain America's shield:

The carbon doesn't match the rest of the interior. I have nothing against carbon fiber, in fact I built a boat out of it. It has uses and they are structural.
I've got MA Carbon Full Horseshoe, AC Control surround, bin, and bat wing. It's real CF and is all flowing a consistent direction. I wasn't sure I would like it at first, but I do. (I bought the car with this installed.)
I think that consistent direction across interior pieces is key.
