No battery is new preemptive replaced older battery with agm one car starts always showed 14+ amps but after bad rains this week started today same way but then I saw the abs and battery light on and amps below 12 amps on gauge no fans radiator working so I parked it at a friends home looked inside battery tray and found lots of water and a **** load of decomposing leaves every thing wet in there I’m thinking some fuse short circuited

Car starts no problem but abs and battery light on and I lost all fans checked battery tray and there is water and a lot of debris but no charge to battery which is a new agm battery less then 2 months old no other problems popped up before my car is outside and we have had torrential rain lately what should I check before I drive it to the mechanic thanks Mike

R u saying the battery has no storage charge when the car is off or that the alternator is not charging the battery? Im guessing the later since u got it started. If so its probably a bad alt. Maybe why your last battery failed assuming thats why u changed it?

I’m about vacuum the crap out I’m waiting till tomorrow hopefully with the hood open it should dry out enough but I was curious to see if anyone had prior experience with this type of electrical situation thanks to all for the responses keep them coming
