Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that report identifying a cause
1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'most sensible option' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'most sensible option' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check connections' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I'll open the door pannel and check the connections with a tester.

A lot of the hardcore enthusiasts tend to check all stickers on every panel when buying a used car which can hurt your resale value if any of the panels have been replaced.

I'm going to open up the door panel and check the wiring but what should I look for?

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

With all the "Where do you stash you ****?" threads going around I figured I'll ask a non 996 technical question.
My DD commuter [shall be unnamed here for fear of shame] was smashed in an accident last year and the rear quarter panel and right rear door were changed. I just realized that the master window control switch by the driver won't operate that window. But the switch on that door does operate it. Also, when I lock all passenger windows the one on that door is working. Even when the car is off, that window works.
I'm going to open up the door panel and check the wiring but what should I look for?
I'm assuming someone else fixed this from the accident? Why not take it back to them.
Also if it is what I'm thinking, then you should also see if you can still get any diminished value claim if it's not too late.

Well, if my DD 50+ MPG [still shall remain unnamed] car has any enthusiasts, they're either a bunch of dorks, animal rights activists, or Dorothys. I doubt they'll care about door VIN stickers; plus they're ubiquitously available.
I'm dreading taking it back to the shop. I'll open the door pannel and check the connections with a tester. If I can't figure it out, then I'll take it back.
In the mean time, if I get a plan of action before going into battle, it would be great.
BTW, recently, I drove a new 335i and I was so disappointed. I mean nothing will match the sluggishness of the Prius but the 335i had no pull compared to my 13 year old 911. She had nothing on her, nothing!

I think by owning a Prius you put yourself outside the circle of trust
