Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've been on the fence about doing some mods to my cars exhaust, and have been considering combining the fister mod with the gundo hack. while i found threads on the topic i was wondering if anyone has any videos of how it sounds so i could get a vague idea of what I'm getting myself into?

POST 2Original post

I had a muffler shop perform the gundo mod on my mufflers, but I would like more sound. Adding the fister mod has been in the back of my mind. So, subscribed.

POST 3Original post

Just to do this....and it will be great...... Do not overthink it...you will love the sound

POST 4Original post

How is this different than a muffler delete? Does ant exhaust go into the muffler? Does having the muffler act like a chamber to reduce drone? If theres no difference, why not go full muffler delete and save a ton of weight? I have Fabspeed exhaust and Im not going to change a thing on mine, but just wondering in case I pick up another 996.

Agreed. 3 hours between removal in the garage and reinstalling it. Took it to my local exhaust guy I've been using for years. BEST $100 spent on the porsche to date.

POST 6Original post

I can't see the point of stacking the Gundo and Fister mods - the Fister mod is MUCH more aggressive since it provides a conduit between the inlet and outlet piping. If you'd already Gundoed your mufflers and found it to be lacking (which would definitely be the case), Fistering those cans would make sense...otherwise, there's no good reason to stack the good mod (Fister) with the less-good mod (Gundo).

POST 7Original post

Do you know the diameter of the new pipe? Where did you find pipe in stainless?

Only some of the exhaust gases bypass the muffler. The sound is louder than stock but not obnoxiously loud. It has a nice note and there is no drone.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
