Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

17 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It was competitive, but very fun. Buyer and Seller happy with the results. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2001-porsche-911-turbo-84/ Now how to get it from IL to CA... Then on to prepping my 996 NA for BaT...

POST 2Original post

You should be more careful using the "S" word around here. People might get the wrong idea.... Congrats.

OMG, how clueless and insensitive of me! So sorry. It's Christmas morning here, and I slept < 4hrs last night, so chalk it up to sleep deprivation.

POST 5Original post

Weren't you just decided on keeping your car and getting something else? How did you end up with a 911 Turbo lol.

Blame it on a serious and unanticipated case of 996 Fever. Two months ago, I didn't see myself getting a turbo. Wish I had the garage space for the pair, but I do not. Finding a new home for the current steed is likely to incur less time on the couch than keeping both. Also , I was very attracted to the single-owner and well-documented service history of this particular TT.

POST 7Original post

Fly to Chicago and drive it back? What a road trip that would be!

Giving that serious thought! When I bought my current 996 20 years ago, one of my brothers and I flew to Austin and drove it back to San Francisco in 25 hours straight. I think we stopped for an hour in Tucson for enchiladas and margaritas. Close call with LLE in New Mexico. Thank you Valentine 1. With four brothers and two millenial kids, I should be able to recruit co-drivers.

POST 10Original post

Congrats, I watched that auction closely as I thought the sum of owner history, color combo and mileage might make it new record for sale price of a 996TT on BAT. I think you did very well on that purchase. Swap out the brown carpet for black and you have my dream 996, but its gorgeous, enjoy!!

POST 11Original post

Congrats to a fellow Natural Brown owner! Honestly thought you were saying you had bore scoring on your Turbo

Wow! Congrats! You were just saying last week you were thinking about upgrading or adding a TT. You didn't waste any time! lol Let me know what you think about the TT! I'll be keeping my eye out for a nice silver TT. I'm not interested in a super low mile $60k-$70k version though. I think you got a great deal!

Yep. OP your car is the only red 996 I like. Can't wait to see it on BaT and what it goes for.
