Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi, all,
I removed my rear pass wheel to replace the oil pressure sending unit and found a sensor with a cable coming out of it. It is located directly behind the wheel. The cable was going up towards the engine. I couldn't see exactly where. The cable was very loose and could be pulled right off of the sensor with virtually no effort. The male end of the sensor had three prongs. The cable end looked rough at the end, almost as if it was broken off, but it fit right in to the male end of the sensor. Can someone please tell me if it is supposed to be that loose? My guess is not.
Thank you.
X2 but a total shot in the dark could be brake sensor cable? You said it was right behind the wheel. Dunno what else would be dangling in that area and not set off any warning lights. But can't remember off the top of my head if brake sensor on these are 2 or 3 conductor. Abs sensor would be the other guess.
Well...I was able to check it out with a flashlight and realized it was 996 602 102 00. That's a coil pack? But its outside of the valve cover. I'll get the wheel off shortly.
Thanks guys.
Cable end has a plastic "bale" that snaps over a "tooth" on the coil. If yours is that loose you will start to have a miss on that cylinder. There should be a splash shield that mounts between the tire/wheel well and coils.

^Thanks, I found that as well.
Well, it ended up being a broken cable connected to a coilpack. What threw me off was that the shop put my valve covers on upside down which is why it was so visible in the first place.
