Do you have a rollbar and harnesses or are you using stock 3-point seatbelts?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey 996'ers!
I have a 99 C2 with Savannah Beige leather interior. I recall seeing race style bucket seats that folded, that had a hard back that could be color coded to the car. I can't seem to find it anymore, but if anyone knows what I am talking about please post a link so I know i'm not going crazy lol.
At any rate, i'm looking at upgrading my seats and wondering what the options are for keeping the same style leather so it looks stock and not just some Recaro Pole Positions I dropped in. Has anyone ever had these race seats reupholstered? Please show me what ya got!
Thanks guys!
There have been a few sets of GT3 seats in Savannah listed for sale here and on 6speed over the last 6 or 7 years.
But, the sellers thought they commanded a 300% mark up due to color, so I passed.
Only later to find out they actually sold for much less than asking price.
Post here if you find something interesting in Savannah.
If you are talking OEM seats then you are likely looking for 997GT3 carbon backed seats depending on your definition of “race seats”. Everything below is out of production, so you are going to be looking to find a lower production Savannah example and will likely see higher prices accordingly.
996/997 Sport Seats are folding hardbacks that have deeper bolsters and wings at the shoulders but no pass-thrus for shoulder/sub harness so not racing seats. These come up all the time in the classified section and can be pretty affordable.
996 Euro GT3 seats are non-folding hardback racing buckets and also come up pretty regularly. These seem to trade and appreciate like BTC and can be expensive or affordable based on the week they come up.
997GT3 Carbon Seats are folding carbon hardbacks equipped for race harnesses. Keep your checkbook handy if these are what you want…they are pricey!
Here’s a thread to get you started on all the options. I’d consider this mildly NSFW (Not Safe For Wifey) based on some of the pricing you will see. 😳

Thanks guys.
@Subourbonite
i was saw those a while back, the only issue is the seats don't fold. I still would like to have use of my back seats. I am still considering them as they look pretty nice!
There was a member on here who made the plastic unit and sold as a kit for $125, I think.
I have had it for years.
Best $125 mod I ever did.
BTW, I hate the telephone mount from Rennline, that will be on ebay soon
996/997 Sport Seats and 997GT3 Carbon Seats all foldonly ones that dont are 996 Euro GT3 buckets.
What are you terming a race seat? Most true racing seats dont fold as it could compromise seat integrity in a crash and folding mechanisms add weight. Do you have a rollbar and harnesses or are you using stock 3-point seatbelts?
